and i stay lurkin
on the outskirts
where life bursts through the wounds of a doomed society
steady compiling catalogues of lost gods remergent
and i came to summon totem
floating above all
the vigilant goddess
plague queller
protector of her progeny
and in her visage
all strong complex growth exalted
the true gravity of the situation steadily expanding massive
when you recognize every god-body they heartless slaughter
is a microcosm for what they’ll do to the living planet
it’s that cockroach / gutter rat / pigeon hybrid
still surviving
squawkin awful and climbin up out the sewer drain
historian came throwin blades
to split a chrysalis
spread wings and uplift on this shifting breeze
storm growing watching a whole swarm unfolding
and forming tornadoes in the streets
we one earth organism organized thru sacred sediments
raising a blazing fist agains those to attempt
to trap vibrant young minds in the depths filthy tenementsthe last breath of the martyr thunders
a large arching firestorm reborn a goliath
sun of an elder science
floating through old photons
watch these ghosts on golden wing
assemble as fresh specters coalesce
in a nebulous energy cloud surrounding

and as the pain of these memories
seems to resonate endlessly
it bears testament to life’s true power and energy
